Make your Computer Welcome You !!
You might have seen in many Movies, when a person Log on into his computer, computer welcomes him. Now same thing your PC can do and make you feel proud in front of your friends. It will welcome you every time you log into your computer.With this trick, you can make your Computer welcome you in its computerized voice instead of having a human Voice. You can make your computer say “Welcome to your PC, Username” in you Windows Xp by following these simple steps.
- Click On Start , open Run and type notepad and hit enter.
- Copy & Paste below code in notepad file.
Dim speaks, speech
speaks="Welcome to your PC, Username"
Set speech=CreateObject("sapi.spvoice")
speech.Speak speaks - Replace Username with your desired text.
- Save the file with “Welcom.vbs” name. Select File Type as All Types.
- Copy the file in to the following folder Path – C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Start Menu\Programs\Startup if C: is your Windows Drive.
- Paste the file there.
Now when you start your computer next time, Windows XP will welcome you in its own computerized voice.
Note: For best results, it is recommended to change sound scheme to No Sounds.You can change the sound scheme to No Sounds by following the steps given below:-
- Go to Control Panel.
- Then click on Switch to Classic View.
- Then Click on Sounds and Audio Devices.
- Then Click on the Sounds Tab.
- Select No Sounds from the Sound Scheme option and click on OK.
