Create a Windows XP Password

Creating a password for your computer prevents people from logging in your account when you are not around. Here is an article on how to create a password for Window XP computers. You need to be on an administrator's level or account to complete this.

Steps:-
  1. 1
Click on the "Start" button then click on Control Panel.
  2. 2
Find "User Accounts" and click on that option.
  3. 3
Choose an account from the list on the bottom.
  4. 4
Select the second option, which will be "Create a Password".
  5. 5
Type in a new password and then type it again on the second line. Passwords are case-sensitive, so if your password is ArFikn, the A and the F must be capitalized to log in.
  6. 6
Put a password hint on the third line. This hint will remind you what your password is, but because it's visible to everyone that goes on the computer (on the log in screen), don't be too obvious if it's a family computer.
  7. 7
Click on "Create Password". Log off or restart the computer for it to work.
